Rookie Scribner Makes Quick Work of Cloverleaf Pattern in Round 2 of WPRA Card Holder Race

WACO, TEXAS – If Kylee Scribner’s second round run at the WPRA World Finals in Waco, Texas, on Saturday, November 14 is any indication of how her 2021 Rookie Season is going to go, everyone better watch out.

Scribner of Azle, Texas, and Firewater Cartel were definitely feeling their oats stopping the clock in a blistering time of 15.345 seconds to easily take the second round victory and a check totaling $2,282. Two-time WPRA World Champion Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi and Ima Famous Babe came the closest to Scribner’s time with a run of 15.598 seconds.

Scribner’s first round run on Friday landed her 29th in the round with a time of 16.063. She is now second in the average (31.408 seconds on two runs) going into the short round on Sunday morning and is hoping to finish in the top two to earn a spot in the prestigious RodeoHouston in March.

Top WPRA horse trainer Kassie Mowry aboard Famous Ladies Man leads the two run average with a total time of 31.400 seconds. The top 30 in the average have earned another run in the short round to determine this year’s WPRA World Finals Card Holder Average winner. It is definitely a stacked and talented field.
