Fun Facts about Brye: Oklahoma is not his native state. He grew up in Halfway, Missouri, then came to Miami, Oklahoma for his first two years of college then got his bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University. After graduating in 2018, his first love took over. He got his PRCA card and started working towards a WNFR qualification. Jake Orman became his regular partner in 2020 and 2021. Brye finished both of those seasons in 22nd place. This year has been different and both ropers are inside the top 13. Along the way, he met and married Cayla Small who comes from a roping and animal loving family. Cayla’s brother Zac Small qualified for the 2016 WNFR with Wesley Thorp before completing veterinarian school. Cayla works in the family business, Flying Cow Genetics, that focuses on cattle reproduction. And when she’s not at work, she is roping, often with a family member and now her WNFR husband.
