2002 World Champion Ednei Caminhas Wins PBR Stockyards Showcase at Cowtown Coliseum

FORT WORTH, Texas – At the twenty-first iteration of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Stockyards Showcase inside the iconic Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, Ednei Caminhas (Indaiatuba, Brazil) was the only rider to conquer his bovine competitor, earning his second event win of the season.
After being bucked off in just 0.92 seconds in Round 1 by Pearl Snap (Blake Sharp/Chris Utz/Carey Brothers), the veteran locked in and covered Just Another Gangster (Stockyards Pro Rodeo/Winston /Melton Bull Co) for 80.5 points in the final round.

As the only rider to last the 8, Caminhas left Cowtown with a crucial 46 Challenger Series points.
2023 PBR Stock Contractor of the Year Blake Sharp’s Out of Control (Blake Sharp) led the dominant bull pen, unseating Claudio Montanha Jr. (Ribeirao dos Indios, Brazil) in 3.92 seconds. The animal athlete was marked an event-high 43.5 points, earning him the Bull of the Event title.
Cooter Brown (Lucas Manning/Waller Brothers Cattle Co) bucked off Jett Harkins (Stephenville, Texas) in 3.45 seconds, earning a 43-point score.
The bovine competitor was matched by Sergeant Matt (Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls), who bested Vitor Losnake (Bauru, Brazil) in 6.04 seconds.
Flashbang (GN Livestock & Bucking Bulls/Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls), Gangster Blues (Blake Sharp) and Smokey (Blake Sharp) rounded out the Top 5 animal athletes, as the trio of competitors were marked 42.5 points for ousting their cowboy counterparts.
