Fun Facts about Dalton: After finishing 19th in 2021 and 17th last year, he set his mind to qualify for this year’s Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in first place. That was the third goal on his list. The first was to qualify for the NFR and second was to win over $150,000 during the regular season. Not only did he surpass his own goals, he surpassed Ty Erickson’s regular season earnings record by over $30,000. Dalton works in construction and if he’s not doing well in the arena, swinging a hammer is good motivation to do better. His motivation also increased last year when he got married and then bought a house. He comes from a line of rodeo competitors in the Northwest but is the first of his family to compete in the bright lights of Las Vegas. And before he nods his head in the Thomas and Mack Center, he will be competing at the Canadian Finals Rodeo for a warmup.
